An incompetent insurance salesman sells a policy to Jesse James and has to protect his client until he can get it back., Milford Farnsworth (Bob Hope) is a life insurance man who sells a policy to the outlaw Jesse James. Realizing the risk, the company sends Farnsworth to make the agreement null and void. Jesse (Wendell Corey) hopes to switch identities with the hapless agent in hopes Farnsworth is killed and Jesse can collect the money. Comedy ensues as attempts are made to reverse the agreement in lieu of the gunfighter’s dangerous occupation., Wendell Corey stars in this comedy western as infamous outlaw T.J. ‘Jesse’ James, who gets involved in a cat-and-mouse game with hopeless salesman Bob Hope., A life-insurance salesman sells a policy to Jesse James, then goes West to see that he stays alive., One of Hope’s funiest has him an insurance salesman out west, mistaken for sharpshooter.
