In this witty comedy, Will Ferrell plays a self-absorbed TV newsreader who is shocked to discover that he is to be paired with a woman., Marking the directorial debut of Adam McKay, former head writer for Saturday Night Live and founder of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade, Anchorman is set during the 1970s and stars Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, San Diego’s top-rated news anchorman.
