Damage
When a deranged woman named Dana (Navi Rawat) makes a violent escape from an insane asylum, Angel (David Boreanaz) and Spike (James Marsters) suspect she’s a demon. As it turns out, though, she’s one of the new vampire slayers whose powers were triggered in the season finale of Angel’s parent show (see Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chosen). Unaware of her supernatural heritage, Dana is still haunted by the brutal murder of her family years earlier. The rogue slayer cuts a bloody swatch through L.A. until the intervention of villain-turned-watcher Andrew (Tom Lenk), who arrives with news of the Sunnydale gang’s latest activities — and a plan to stop Dana’s rampage. To complicate matters, though, Dana seems to have a mysterious link to Spike, and Andrew, on Buffy’s orders, has a secret agenda. Originally broadcast January 28, 2004 on the WB network, “Damage” marked season five, episode 11 of the supernatural soap opera.
