The Cylons have occupied the human settlement of New Caprica and it’s been three months since the Galactica, and the Pegasus, plus a handful of ships escaped into deep space. But the fight is not over. On New Caprica, a resistance movement has begun and, despite having only a handful of untested pilots at his command, Admiral Adama is committed to risking everything on a daring attack to rescue the people he left behind., The standoff over the Eye of Jupiter has intensified, and as D’Anna, Baltar, Cavil, and their Centurions prepare to assault the Temple of Five, Apollo and Anders vow to fend them off long enough for Tyrol to locate the Eye and get it aboard the Galactica. Meanwhile, Apollo and Anders are attempting to locate Starbuck after her Raptor crashes in the hills. Apollo has ordered his wife Dualla to attempt a rescue of Starbuck, forcing both women into an extremely awkward collaboration. After discovering Starbuck alive but badly burned, Dualla and attempts to apply first aid so that the pair can repair the ship and fly to safety. Back on the Galactica, Athena decides to attempt a daring rescue of her daughter Hara. By allowing Helo to kill her, she will be able to resurrect aboard the Cylon fleet and search for the captive girl. It won’t be easy, but it is possible. As the Cylons get the upper hand in the fight for the Temple of Five, the sky becomes blindingly bright and Tyrol makes a curious connection between the sun that is about to go supernova and a mysterious drawing on the temple wall., As the bloody battle between human and cylon rages on, Admiral Adama is forced to make a decision that could ultimately lead to the extinction of mankind., The Cylons descend upon the re-supply mission as the Chief races to decipher the markings in the temple believed to hold The Eye of Jupiter, a sacred icon that is believed to contain a map to Earth., The Cylon-Colonial standoff for the Eye of Jupiter continues while a supernova threatens the algae planet. Meanwhile, Lee considers a rescue operation for Starbuck.
