Dopey Mike is a liability for his elder brother, an aspiring politician. So he’s palmed off on an aide who has orders to keep him out of trouble, but it doesn’t take long for Mike to hit the headlines., Comedy starring the late Chris Farley as the younger brother of an aspiring politician. Mike Donnelly (Farley) is the sibling of prospective State Governor Al (Tim Matheson), whom Al knows could be something of a liability on the campaign trail. To ensure that he does not become an embarrassment, Al places the mischievous Mike in the care of one of his aides, Steve Dodds (David Spade) – a task which Dodds does not exactly relish!, Political comedy in which a prospective state governor’s election prospects are jeopardised by his wayward younger brother. Expecting his mischievous sibling to be something of a liability during his campaign, the aspiring politician orders one of his aides to keep him out of the public eye – a task he does not relish, Handsome, smooth-talking Al Donnelly (Tim Matheson) has everything going for him. A politician, he is engaged in a heated gubernatorial race with the feisty Governor Tracy (Christine Ebersole), a tough old bird who doesn’t hesitate to play hardball with opponents. Unfortunately for her, things are looking good for Donnelly. Fortunately she finds his Achilles’ heel with his young brother Mike Donnelly (Saturday Night Live alumnus Chris Farley), a fat slob gym teacher and hopeless imbecile who only wants to win his more successful sibling’s respect. Unfortunately all he does is embarrass poor Al to death. In desperation, Al assigns the sardonic and prissy Steve Dodds (David Spade) to keep Mike under constant surveillance. The real trouble begins when Tracy’s aids try to frame hapless Mike for arson., A gubernatorial candidate hires a campaign worker to keep his imbecilic brother out of trouble., A prospective governor hires his personal aide to stop his mischievous brother from making trouble., Political comedy in which a prospective state governor’s election prospects are jeopardised by his wayward younger brother.
