Underwater fantasy based on the further exploits of Jules Verne’s submarine commander. All seems lost when the passengers of a schooner are washed overboard during a terrible Atlantic storm. But for six of them, help is at hand in the person of Captain Nemo, who takes them to his undersea world., Captain Nemo (Robert Ryan) rescues six people from a floundering ship from certain death. The six rescued travelers become trapped in Templemer when Nemo refuses their requests to leave. Fearing news of the underwater paradise will bring unwanted attention, the travelers are trapped.
