In a series of mishaps, Testi fails to kill Oates but Oates wife (Jenny Agutter), believing she has killed her husband, joins Testi and the pair flee, pursued by Oates and the rail men, all bent on revenge. Monte Hellman’s western takes no prisoners in its surreal portrayal of the wild west but the ride is sure as hell worth it.
