With Florence LaBadie in the title role and Harry Benham as her Prince Charming, Cinderella, filmed in one reel in the summer of 1911, was the New York-based Thanhouser Company’s Christmas treat for the 1911-1912 holiday season. Anna Rosemond played the Wicked Stepmother and Frank H. Crane was the King in this screen version of the beloved fairy tale, which also featured Alphonse Ethier and Isabelle Daintry. The production, which The Moving Picture World found “delightful” and which adhered strictly to conventions, nevertheless suffered in comparison with a rival version starring Mabel Trunnelle.
