D-Day’s Sunken Secrets

Documentary film following a multi-disciplinary team of experts as they scour the sea bed off the coast of Normandy looking for objects which were lost or destroyed during the D-Day landings. Among the treasures are the wreck of the troopshiop SS Leopoldville, a trawler adapted to be a mine-sweeper and a collection of American Sherman tanks. The programme also features interviews with D-Day veterans, many of whom are returning to Normandy for the first time since the landings.
