The sleepy village of Mangrul in Maharashtra is brought to life when one of its inhabitants, the young Kashav, claims to have seen god in his dreams. Although he is asked to keep the story quiet, a journalist hears and reports about it, and soon there are calls for a temple to be built in the honour of this momentous occasion, which would transform the village into a holy town.
