This pro-eco animated series concerned five “quirky” high school students who, after being exposed to a heaping helping of primodeal ooze, periodically transformed into dinosaurs. With the cry of “Go Dino!”, Rodger, the technical genius of the group, would morph into a Styracosaurus; Caruso, the resident “ladies man”, became a Stegosaurus; football star Max turned into a (benevolent) Tyranosaurus Rex; Fiona, a lover of fast cars, transformed into Spinosaurus; and punk-rocker Max evolved (or is it devolved?) into a Pteranodon. The purpose for this metamorphosis was so the “Dino Squad” could do battle against Victor Veloci, evil CEO of the Raptor Dyne Company. It seemed that Veloci was actually an ancient, humanized Velociraptor, who hoped to use his company’s resource to speed up global warming (gasp!) and thus transform the entire human race into mutant slaves. Assisting the Squad in their environmentally friendly crusade was their science teacher Ms. Moynihan, who possessed telepathic and other special powers. Not dissimilar to the earlier cartoon series Extreme Dinosaurs, Dino Squad was assembed by DiC studios and originally telecast as part of CBS’s weekend “KEWLopolis” children’s block beginning November 3, 2007., Five teens have the ability to transform into dinosaurs and they use their powers to protect the Earth from global warming and other dangers., Five teenagers, Roger, Max, Caruso, Fiona and Buzz, gain the power to turn into dinosaurs by getting covered in ooze that mutated their DNA on a school field trip. With the help of their mysterious science teacher, Ms. Moynihan, they learn to use their unique abilities to protect the planet from Victor Veloci. As the head of company Raptor Dyne, Victor’s plan is to turn everyone into dinosaurs and return the world to when dinosaurs ruled
