Escape From New York
We follow three New Yorkers as they plot their routes out of the city, planning to literally escape the grid to reach safety. While each has a different fear, all three are determined to get off the island before it’s too late. We profile Margaret Ling, who fears that a catastrophic hurricane will devastate the city. She plans to walk miles in order to get as far away from the city as possible. Out in Brooklyn, we meet Cameron Moore, a college student on his way to medical school. Cameron is preparing for the meltdown of the Indian Point nuclear power plant, which he fears will lead to detrimental changes in the environment. He plans to paddle across the Hudson River to reach New Jersey. And downtown, we follow bond trader and family man Jay.
