Horror tale about an escaped mental patient who sets up a medical practice in the town where his father was lynched. Black comedy., After his father killed off a bunch of the local townsfolk, Evan Rendell (Larry Drake) grows up to become an unstable adult, nicknamed “Dr. Giggles” because believes he is a medical doctor. When Evan escapes from the mental institution he was imprisoned in, he travels back to his home town, posing as a true doctor, and begins to kill off the unsuspecting local residents., The horrifying tale of a surgeon who begins to behave strangely when his wife is diagnosed as having an incurable heart condition. He tries experiments during heart transplant operations, punctuated by the bizarre laughter which becomes his trademark. Eventually he is taken to a mental hospital, but the deranged Dr Giggles manages to escape.
