Gannon: Harry Morgan., A son phones his mother from an undisclosed L.A. location to reveal that he is about to commit suicide and the desperate woman seeks the help of Sgt. Joe Friday (Jack Webb) and Officer Bill Gannon (Harry Morgan) to rescue him before he can kill himself. Tracking him to the Hollywood Elsinore Hotel, which has more than 1,200 rooms, the dedicated duo follow the tip of a go-go dancer and find the man just in time to halt his attempt at ending his life. The troubled man is subsequently committed to a psychiatric ward.
