Kate’s former school faces a potential lawsuit over the expulsion of a pupil accused of cheating. She tries to negotiate a settlement that will leave the school’s reputation intact so Lauren can sign it up as a new client – but Kate’s unhappy memories of the place threaten to cloud her judgement., Fairly Legal follows Kate Reed (Sarah Shahi) a San Francisco litigator who, frustrated with the bureaucracy and injustice she sees in her job, decides to become a mediator., Kate and Lauren butt heads when Kate mediates a dispute between her former school and an expelled student. The case takes a turn when charges of sexual harassment surface. Elsewhere, Ben and Justin are at odds over a plea bargain for a performance artist.
