Instead, Nilaam performs the Ritual of Renewal, drawing from D’Argo’s strength to rejuvenate herself as a young and powerful woman (now played by Anna Lise Phillips). As a result of this phenomenon, the living starship Moya suddenly grows old and infirm — and Chiana (Gigi Edgley) is trapped in Moya’s amnexus fluid, which is rapidly aging into solid, frozen form. “Vitas Mortis” originally aired on March 24, 2000.
