FLASHPOINT is a drama that depicts the emotional journey into the tough, risk-filled lives of a group of cops in the SRU (inspired by Toronto’s Emergency Task Force). It’s a unique unit that rescues hostages, busts gangs, defuses bombs, climbs the sides of buildings and talks down suicidal teens. Members of a highly-skilled tactical team, they’re also trained in negotiating, profiling and getting inside the suspect’s head to diffuse the situation to try and save lives., Action-packed drama following the lives of Strategic Response Unit cops. The SRU team are called in to stop a riot, and a family cause problems when a prisoner will not be freed., The team must contain a riot at a maximum-security prison, but they soon suspect it’s a cover for a planned prison break., A gang incites a riot at a maximum security prison and takes visitors hostage, so the Strategic Response Unit is called to help deal with the chaotic situation. As Parker and the unit investigate, they suspect the inmates are plotting to escape, but when the real motive is uncovered, they discover it is far more dangerous than first expected.
