FLASHPOINT is a drama that depicts the emotional journey into the tough, risk-filled lives of a group of cops in the SRU (inspired by Toronto’s Emergency Task Force). It’s a unique unit that rescues hostages, busts gangs, defuses bombs, climbs the sides of buildings and talks down suicidal teens. Members of a highly-skilled tactical team, they’re also trained in negotiating, profiling and getting inside the suspect’s head to diffuse the situation to try and save lives., Action-packed drama following the lives of Strategic Response Unit cops. A new member joins the team as they work to rescue a girl kidnapped by a man who thinks he is her father., A deluded man kidnaps a woman he insists is his missing daughter and the SRU team attempts to rescue her., The Strategic Response Unit tries to locate and rescue a waitress who has been abducted by a customer. When it comes to light the man has mental health issues and believes the woman is his estranged daughter, the team realises he will not let her go without a fight.
