Nishida’s retaliation plans against America continue to unfold. Meanwhile, Yushiro confronts his brother about his kai-related ambitions., Akata, Kaburagi, and Yushiro speed away from the American base, their rescue mission a failure. When they finally stop to get the battered Yushiro out of the TA, he is wild-eyed, saying that he has to get to Miharu immediately. The captain, Kaburagi, knocks him out for his own good. As they continue driving, they are startled to find Kazukiyo Gowa waiting for them in the middle of the road. Despite his demands, they keep Yushiro out of his hands and bring him to the SDF infirmary. The next morning, Yushiro sneaks out of the infirmary and returns to Kazukiyo, who tells him that they will soon be poised to control the world. Realizing the scope of Kazukiyo’s ambition, Yushiro rejects him and turns to leave. As a parting shot, Kazukiyo informs him that within two days, the U.S. will attack the very building they’re in, using TAs — and the Experimentation Company will be the ones facing them.
