Skye: Against the Odds
Paul Murton sets out to experience island life on the myriad of islands that lie off the Scottish coast. In this final programme, Paul travels to the island of Skye to visit the celebrated writer and naturalist Gavin Maxwell, before scaling the Cuillin mountain Am Bastier. On nearby Raasay, he learns the extraordinary true story of crofter Calum Macleod, who singlehandedly built a road to connect his isolated community.
