An Old-fashioned Christmas
Upset that the citizens of Hooterville prefer plastic and prefabricated Christmas decorations, Oliver stages a one-man protest against the commercialization of the Yuletide season. To this end, he intends to cut down his own Christmas tree, which happens to be a spruce growing on his property. When he finds out that he needs a permit for this operation, the townsfolk muster their forces to block Oliver’s efforts to get permission.
