Rows of bunks separate “neighborhoods” of whites, Hispanics, and blacks; old and young; gangs and loners; shot-callers and newbies. Tensions run high as neighborhoods and inmates battle for control and push their limits with officers. They pass their time by hustling in the jail’s black market economy.
