In part one, the Ricardos extend their hospitality to a cousin of a friend of Lucy’s mother, a bucolic fellow named Ernie who hails from Bent Fork, TN. Though Ernie is friendly and likeable, he soon becomes quite a pest, especially when he insists upon singing early in the morning and waking up the entire apartment building.
