Cynthia (Julie Walters) is left reeling when Eugene (Edward Hogg) makes a revelation about his family’s finances. Sarah (Fiona Glascott) uses her knowledge of Alice’s (Jemima West) secret past to blackmail her friend, placing Alice in a very difficult position.
