In the Season 1 premiere, Jack Irish, an ex-criminal lawyer turned private investigator, is hired to find a missing ex-con, but the job goes horribly wrong when the target is killed in front of him. Soon, Jack learns it was all an elaborate set up and he is now the prime suspect for the murder.
