Father Royce had abused two boys years earlier and Malachy was the only witness. Royce was moved overseas and the church covered up the crime – leaving the boys alone with their pain. Father Malachy believes it was a revenge crime but now fears for his life. Jack and Cody find out that both victims, Michael Clare and Tom Reed, are still living in Galway. While Michael is a married man with a family, and a successful businessman, Tom Reed’s life went the opposite direction: he has fallen on hard times, was convicted of raping a boy, Christian Tracey 10 years ago and became a drug-dealer and since an addict.
