The Martian Manhunter comes to Earth to warn of an impending alien invasion. With the help of Superman and Batman, he gathers the greatest superheroes to stop the invading army., In part one of Justice League’s three-part debut episode, the mighty Superman is hoodwinked into disarming the earth’s protective warheads by a seemingly peace-loving U.S. senator. It isn’t long before the planet is besieged by enormous, bug-like extraterrestrials who cannot be stopped by conventional weaponry. From the vantage point of his orbiting space station, Superman’s fellow dogooder Batman realizes that the invasion cannot be thwarted by only two superheroes. Thus is assembled the greatest super-powered crime-fighting team known to man: The Justice League!
