An innocent child grapples with the abuses of modern-day slavery in Kavi, director Gregg Helvey’s searing, Oscar-nominated muckraking drama. Indian boy Kavi (Sagar Salunke) grows up entrapped by circumstance, bound to the brickmaking trade of his parents; all are bonded labor slaves, controlled by the demands of the cruel labor master Samrat (Ulhas Tayade).
