The relationship between Jewish stylist Miriam Sternoff and her fiancé O’Neal McKnight, who is a black comedian from the South, is chronicled. In the opener, O’Neal converts to Judaism and Miriam agrees to get a set of gold teeth in exchange for a perfect honeymoon. Later, they confront O’Neal’s cousin for ignoring Miriam due to her race.
