He becomes caught up in a war between the gang and the residents of Pig Sty Alley, which the gang want to take over. Little do they know that two of the Alley’s residents are retired martial arts experts and soon the fists and feet are flying in knockabout fights that owe as much to Kill Bill (some of the wire work is done by Yuen Wo Ping, who worked on Tarantino’s film) as they do to classic Hollywood silent comedies. Film fans can enjoy Chow’s references to films ranging from Top Hat to The Shining while the rest can just enjoy a wildly entertaining romp.
