In this British farce, Leon, a Jewish youth from London, looks for something to do with his life after quitting a lucrative job on principal. His mother wants him to get married, but he’s not sure he’s ready. Eventually his mother badgers him into working for her catering outfit. This doesn’t set well with his girl friend who finds his new job too dull for her taste. One day Leon is bringing food to a fertility clinic and inadvertently learns that he is a product of that place. Apparently his father had a low sperm count. Leon is devastated by the news and after a heated confrontation, returns to the clinic to see if his sperm count is okay. As he is leaving the clinic, he accidentally runs over an eccentric gentile artist. He feels terrible and accepts her invitation to tea and ends up spending the night. The next day he returns to the clinic for his “results” and discovers he is perfectly fertile. He also learns that his dad is not his dad after all. His real biological father is a pig farmer out in Yorkshire. Curious, Leon heads out there to meet his sire. He ends up staying there a while and teaching the country folk many Jewish traditions while they teach him all about raising swine. Eventually, he returns home and tells his father about the whole clinic mix-up. His father is terribly upset and matters are not helped when Leon’s biological dad and his brood come to London to convince Leon to return with them., Farce about a Jewish Londoner (Mark Frankel) who discovers that his biological father is a gentile farmer (Brian Glover).
