The old Professor Arthur Summerlee, a renowned scientist, agrees to finance and join his beloved nephew’s, Lord John Roxton, expedition. He secretly believes it to be a dead end journey, but goes along to make Roxton’s most treasured dream come true: to be the first man to find a Lost World he heard existed somewhere down in South America; a region well known to him. Accompanied by Summerless and Challenger, his long-time companion, Lord John sets sail for Brazil where he is to meet with Professor Turner; the famous American anthropologist who desired to join them. Much to their surprise, especially Roxton’s, once the three men reach the harbour, Professor Turner turn out to be single mother, Molly Turner and accompanied by her twelve year-old son Billy. She wants to join them for the discovery, but mostly she hopes to find traces of her lost husband, Jack Turner, who disappeared while searching for the Lost World
