Seeds of Revolt
Part 1 of 2. The important role that black landowners in Mississippi played during the civil rights movement is recalled. They opened their homes to civil rights workers and used their land as collateral to obtain property bonds to free civil rights workers from jail. The actions came with a risk: After assassinating three civil rights activists during the 1964 voter registration drive, the KKK began plotting to kill three of the black landowners.
