Monk investigates a grisly murder, but he runs afoul of the crotchety new police commissioner, who revokes his detective license in retaliation., The commissioner revokes Adrian’s licence in exasperation at his latest blunder, leaving Stottlemeyer struggling to solve the case of a woman killed with a chainsaw. Ultimately, Monk digs up a connection between the killer and the hat thief, just as his friends at the Police Force stumble upon a foolproof (and hilarious) method to get our hero’s job back., When a woman’s torso washes ashore in San Francisco Bay, Monk investigates. But after a colossal blunder he is sacked. His only way back is to solve the case., Adrian Monk is a highly gifted detective whose career is jeopardised by his overwhelming fear of germs, crowds, small places, and almost everything else…(although he’s making progress on milk). Monk’s disorder was triggered by the murder of his beloved wife, Trudy, which continues to haunt him as the only unsolved mystery in his career. Ordered to take a leave of absence from the police department, Monk hires Sharona, a nurse who helps him try to get reinstated on the force, and in the process, becomes an unlikely Dr. Watson to his Sherlock Holmes. When the police department find themselves unable to crack a high-profile case, they have no choice but to bring back the only man for the job…phobias and all.
