Mr. Monk Goes to the Ballgame
When a couple are lured to an abandoned lot by a re-programmed sat-nav and shot, Monk connects the case to a baseballer’s dream of a home-run record., When a ruthless CEO and his wife are lured to their deaths, Monk connects their murders to a baseball great and his quest for the home-run record., An investigation into the murder of a wealthy executive quickly reveals that the victim may not have been the assassin’s intended target. Monk is led to a baseball game as he gradually pieces the puzzle together., CEO Lawrence Hammond (John Sanderford) and his trophy wife Erin (Darby Stanchfield) are murdered after being lured to a vacant lot. With only the CEO’s bizarre last words as a clue, Monk (Tony Shalhoub) figures out that Erin, and not Lawrence, was the murderer’s target. And there’s more: Erin’s death may be linked to baseball star Scott Gregorio (Christopher Wiehl), who is currently poised to break the single-season homerun record. Finding a kindred spirit in Gregorio, Monk races to reveal the killer so that the ballplayer will pull himself out of a potentially devastating slump. The detective hits upon the solution under the unlikeliest of circumstances–while he is (ineptly!) umpiring a Little League game., Crime drama series about a private police consultant with OCD. After his bank is robbed Monk is horrified to learn that his deposit box containing his wife’s bracelet has been taken. Thinking the robbery was an inside job he becomes a security guard to find the conspirator, but he’s in for a shock., The puzzling homicides of a business magnate and his wife lead Monk to suspect the murders are linked to a baseball slugger’s chase for a home-run record.
