Friendly Fire
Awakening in a strange bed after a wild night of drinking with Maureen and Riley, a confused Jane discovers that she is trapped in a hospital room. As Jane struggles to make sense of her situation, the mysterious Dr. Baumgartner appears to remove her leather restraints and feed her some breakfast. Impatient, Jane demands to know why she is being held against her will. While Jane proves successful in sneaking out of her room and is relieved to see Dr. Carpenter in the hospital parking lot, the revelation that she has apparently murdered Riley doesn’t set too well with the hung-over Neuro-hunter. According to Andre, Jane is now Dr. Baumgartner’s guinea pig. Dr. Baumgartner used to lead a research team at Neuro Internment Center Operations before NICO went under, and though Jane is devastated to hear that her friend is dead Maureen voices some serious doubts about Andre’s trustworthiness as of late. Upon finding evidence that NICO has developed a revolutionary cure for Neuros and Dr. Baumgartner was fired for ethical violations, Jane stages a bold escape attempt that is swiftly thwarted by Connor. But is Connor really the man he appears to be, and could it be that Riley is actually alive and well back at headquarters?, Jane awakens in a hospital restrained and suffering from memory loss, and learns that she murdered Riley; on Jane’s behalf, Maureen investigates a doctor in charge of Neuro research. Dr. Baumgartner: Ralf Bauer., The special agent wakes up in hospital with no memory of recent events and discovers she may have murdered Riley Jensen, while Maureen begins her own investigation.
