Archaeologists enter and disturb a Pharaoh’s tomb in 1902 Cairo, and unleash a three thousand year curse. Soon one of the members of the expedition is possessed and becomes a blood-sucking killer., The Pharoah’s Curse has all the earmarks of a cheap TV half-hour bloated into a feature film. An ancient Egyptian mummy (Alvaro Guillot) comes to life when its tomb is desecrated in 1903. The bandaged one proceeds to wreak havoc on the archeological expedition responsible. Mark Dana, Ziva Rodann and Diane Brewster are among the “good” scientists; Kurt Katch, who spent most of his career playing despotic villains, finds himself in reversed circumstances when he is bumped off by the mummy. It’s hard to determine which is slower: The avenging mummy or the plot of The Pharoah’s Curse itself.
