By day Reuben Horowitz (Vincent Piazza) works in his Uncle Sol’s jewelry shop, and by night he pulls in big money spinning records at a local topless bar. Ruben’s goal is to become a famous underground DJ, and in order to foot the bill for his expensive DJ rig he starts selling cocaine with close pal Tommy (James Badge Dale) and drug-addicted stripper Ebony (Golden Brooks), who’s trying to earn some extra money to support her teenage brother (Maestro Harrell). Meanwhile, as with his dreams slipping ever further out of reach, Reuben receives sound yet unsolicited advice from his Orthodox cousin Moises (Dov Tiefenbach).
