Force of Arms
Earth is threatened by the arrival of Dolza’s forces: an armada of over four million ships., Dolza’s main fleet of nearly five million warships materializes, ready to destroy Earth, the SDF-1, and the renegade Zentraedi. As the various defenders scramble to get ready, Rick, fearing that he may never see her again, stops to tell Minmei that he loves her before running off to suit up. As the last of Dolza’s forces emerge from hyperspace, Minmei comes to Rick to tell him how she feels. As Rick tries to console her, the fleet opens fire on Earth, laying waste to most of the planet in a matter of minutes. As Rick and Minmei mourn the loss of their loved ones, Rick hits upon an idea, which Gloval wastes no time putting into motion; they broadcast a live performance from Minmei on all frequencies. Not only will this boost the Earth defenders’ morale and throw Dolza’s forces into confusion, they hope that the SDF-1 and its allies can use the opportunity to mount a daring assault directly on Dolza’s command ship.
