This documentary by Robert Mugge traces the fascinating life of musician, actor and activist Ruben Blades. Blades is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed artists in Latin music; he’s also a licensed attorney, with a degree from the University of Panama and a masters from Harvard. He has appeared in several major motion pictures; he’s also discussed returning to Panama and running for President. This film follows Blades as he performs with his band Seis del Solar, receives his diploma from Harvard, visits his old neighborhood in Panama and talks about his many careers. Also features interviews with Linda Ronstadt and Pete Hamill., Panamanian singer, actor, politician, and lawyer Ruben Blades performs, talks, and travels in this documentary on his triumphant return to Panama City.
