An eager-to-please elf teams up with Santa Claus to save the spirit of Christmas from the evil influence of a villainous toy tycoon who wants to flood the world with very dangerous playthings., It looks like Christmas (and all that it stands for) is seriously threatened when a troublesome elf (Dudley Moore) joins up with a greedy toy manufacturer who’d like nothing better than to eliminate Santa Claus (David Huddleston) so he can monopolize the manufacture (and lucrative distribution) of all the world’s toys., Saint Nick hires an elf with sloppy craftsmanship to work at his North Pole toy factory.
