Sharpe’s Eagle
In 1809 Spain, Sharpe tries to make up for the French taking possession of an English standard by capturing a French eagle emblem that was touched by Napoleon., Excellent swashbuckling adventure with Sean Bean. A dying officer asks Sharpe to capture a French Eagle as revenge for his regiment’s colours being lost., Handsome Lt Sharpe joins forces with the South Essex regiment and is ordered to destroy a key bridge but, owing to incompetence in high places, the regimental colours are lost. However, a dying officer requests that Sharpe try to capture a French Eagle in an act of retaliation, and Sharpe and his men soon find themselves playing a key role in the Battle of Talavera.
