Jaclyn Smith heads the all-star cast as an idealistic midwestern political science professor who is appointed US ambassador of Romania. Smith’s mission of peace is endangered by an evil terrorist group, the “Patriots of Freedom,” which (according to Sheldon) has been responsible for such outrages as the assassinations of Anwar Sadat and Indira Gandhi. Ms. Smith’s only ally against the Patriots of Freedom is suave Frenchman Christopher Cazanove–and even he isn’t completely above suspicion.
