STANDING OVATION brings tells the story about a group of friends competing in a national tween music video contest., Kayla Jackson and Alexis Biesiada star in this gleeful musical following five junior-high-school girls determined to take their band, the 5 Ovations, to national success by competing in the biggest music-video competition on television., Five Atlantic City junior high students form a dance troupe to compete for a million-dollar prize in a national television music-video contest. Brittany (Kayla Jackson), Blaze (Pilar Martin), Maya (Na’jee Wilson), Cameron (Kayla Raparelli), and Tatiana (Alexis Biesiada) are best friends. Together they form “The 5 Ovations,” a dance troupe that has what it takes to make the big time. But they’re not the only ones intent on becoming dance superstars, because their rivals “The Wiggies” have a flashy image and a reputation for using underhanded tactics to come out on top. Glamorous and wealthy, ambitious sisters Ziggy (London Clark), Zoey (Jeana Zettler), Zita (Ashley Cutrona), Twiggy (Devon Jordon), and Angel (Erika Corvette) are led by their scheming father, Mr. Wiggs (Sal Dupree), whose sole priority is to win the competition at any cost.
