Sun Valley Serenade

In this film, Sonja Henie plays a Norwegian refugee adopted by band pianist John Payne, who mistakenly thought that the full-grown Henie was a 10-year-old little girl. Payne’s girlfriend, Lynn Bari, is a soloist with the Miller band and, unfortunately, the violently-jealous sort., A band playing a stint at a winter resort sponsors a Norwegian refugee as a publicity stunt, but the girl turns out to be an adult — who can skate. Soon, her talents become part of the show., The Dartmouth Troubadours dance band are about to get their big break in the Sun Valley Ski Resort.
