The Twist
Three tribe members from each team are surprised to learn that they are switching sides and joining their rival tribes. After the switch, the teams compete for reward by leading 20 goats from a starting pen to a destination pen 100 yards away. For immunity, teams gather 20 puzzle pieces and put them together to complete the puzzle. The fifth person is voted out of the game at tribal council. Jeff Probst is the host., The previous Survivor episode proved that being a “survivor” in real life does not necessarily guarantee durability on a TV reality show. So it is that the castaways have been reduced to 12 in number as the African challenge moves into days 13, 14, and 15. A few of the players are on edge — a few others have lapsed into complacency. But everyone is thrown for a loop at the end of this episode, in which a huge and unexpected “twist” totally shakes up all previous tribal alliances.
