Sheriff Andy is invited to join the exclusive Esquire Club in Raleigh. Showing up at a club dinner with deputy Barney, Andy immediately makes a good impression on the members-more than can be said for Barney, despite his overbearing efforts to be “one of the fellows.” Ultimately, the club makes a decision: Andy is welcome to join, but Barney is not. A wry plot twist permits both Andy and Barney to save face-and their friendship. Written by Fred S.
