This illusion is somewhat shattered when the Clampetts entertain their distinguished visitor at their “fancy eatin’ table” (the one in the billiard parlor). Incidentally, the real Martin Ransohoff was chairman of the board of Filmways Television, the company that owned The Beverly Hillbillies. “The Clampetts Entertain” was originally broadcast on April 24, 1963.
