Operation Barney
Fred and Barney fake illnesses to get out of work and attend a baseball game, but Barney winds up in the hospital facing an operation., The first Flintstones episode written by the prolific Tony Benedict reaches way back to the glory days of the two-reel comedies for its story material. In order to attend a Bedrock Boulders baseball game, both Fred and Barney call their respective bosses to say they’re too sick to come to work. Unfortunately, Barney’s boss demands that he take a medical exam–and before the plot plays itself out, poor Barney is headed for the hospital, slated for an operation he neither needs nor desires!, Fred and Barney decide to feign illness so that they can go to a baseball game instead of work but Barney is ordered to report to hospital by his boss.
