A Star is Almost Born
Wilma is discovered by a famous TV producer while grocery shopping with Betty. Upon hearing the news, Fred quits his job at the quarry to manage her career., While shopping with Betty in a drug store, a TV producer spots Wilma and asks her to be in his next production. When Fred learns this, he jumps on the bandwagon as her manager., For the second time in Flintstones history, a Hollyrock movie producer sees star potential in cave-wife Wilma Flintstone. Galvanized by the prospect of having a movie queen in the family, Fred appoints himself Wilma’s manager, then proceeds to get into a deep financial hole as he pays for singing lessons, acting lessons, dancing lessons etc. The highlight of the episode is the spoof of My Fair Lady: “The ants in France stay mainly on the plants.” (By George, we get it!)
